This contemporary jazz ballad features the lead alto saxophone and keyboard. However, all sections of the band share the melodic lines throughout the piece. The auxiliary percussion part also plays a vital role, adding a variety of colors that aid the drummer in building the band to a dramatic climax at measure 59. The song concludes, as it began, with a lush ending containing a written alto sax cadenza. This is an excellent piece to help your band develop a warm blend in their tone and sound very mature.
