This new symphonic work from the exceptionally talented and versatile composer Jim Colonna was commissioned by the West York (PA) School Bands program to celebrate the life of Marlene Eyster. Musically the work incorporates a well-known hymn (Jesus Loves The Little Children) and a beloved spiritual (Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child). Rich in its sonorities and utilizing meticulous orchestration techniques, this work is destined to be performed by accomplished ensembles throughout the world.
